Two Friends; One Goal.

Welcome to our blog!
Meaningful Miles, as we (your lovely bloggers Kasey and Sarah) have termed our goal/plan for the summer.

We made a list of things we'd like to get accomplished over this summer. Some important ones we decided were: lose 30 pounds, get in shape and volunteer for something. We've started our weight loss and exercise plan and we're doing fabulous! We have been walking EVERY single night, as a matter of fact, we've walked 32 1/2 miles in the past two weeks! So, we decided to use our exercise for the better. (This kind of also falls under the "volunteer for something" category) For every mile we walk, we're putting ONE DOLLAR in a jug.

In December, we're going to crack that jug and use all the money we've saved for the Salvation Army Angel Tree. We're going to take our hard earned dollars and buy Christmas gifts for children and senior citizens who don't have any. We're calling our endeavor "Meaningful Miles" and we plan to do it for six months until Christmas. Not only are we walking for ourselves, we're walking for underprivelaged children. And, we're encouraging you to do the same!

Let's get in shape this summer and help those who need it!! When you go to the gym, walk the track, ride your bicycle...count your miles! Then deposit a dollar, twenty-five cents, a nickel...whatever you want, into a jug and start saving! You'll feel amazing when it's Christmas time and you can help the children! We will be blogging to track to our progress and let everyone know how much money we've raised. We're very excited about this endeavor and we'd love to have your encouragement! We'll be updating soon with a blog address and an email address. :) Put on your walking shoes!!

  1. Love it ladies - as soon as I find a jug that doesn't have moonshine in it, I'm all over this.
